About Me

Pauline is a Choreographer and Visiting Research Fellow at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). Her practice-based research is focused on intermedial and telematic dance. She has collaborated with Luke Kahlich, EdD., Professor Emeritus (Temple University, Philadelphia) on joint research in telematic dance since 2006. Other collaborators include Dr. Katrina Burton and colleagues in the Music Department at Edinburgh Napier University and Dr. Tanya Calamoneri at Texas Tech University/Ohio State. In 2006 she was made a Teaching Fellow and in 2014 she was awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Medal for teaching and learning at LJMU. She has an MFA in Dance from Temple University and a PhD from LJMU.


She performed with Nexus Dance Theatre (Scotland), Springs Dance Company (England), Ann Vachon/ Dance Conduit, and Sybil Dance Co. (USA). She has choreographed and taught extensively in the UK and overseas, including Temple and Clarion Universities in America, as well as lectureships at Aberdeen and Edinburgh Universities (UK). Her work in the community included Dance Artist in Residence in Scotland for Stirling District Council/ Scottish Arts Council -- where she was active nationally as the Chair of Community Dance Scotland and the Scottish Youth Festival.
